New label gallery
It's a little known fact that I designed my first beer label a good two years before I actually brewed a beer. I often post a picture of my label when blogging about a new brew, but a few times people have asked to see all my labels at once. With that in mind, I decided to create a Flickr account just for my labels. You can check it out by either following this link or clicking the new permanent link in the right frame. Pretty cool, huh?

Pretty cool. I was thinking about doing the same thing for my blog, and running them as a slideshow in the column.
that is really cool, and interesting that you started doing this years prior to brewing. Guess it was meant to be eh?
Out of curiosity what do you use to design your labels? I'm fairly graphicly challenged but do have a myriad of design programs on my work cpu that I should be utilizing.

..alright I should have looked at the gallery prior to posting. Just wanted to add: dude..I really dig incorporating photos of your pooch into labels. I'me inspired..going to do more of this myself.

Hey Brian-
I mainly use Photoshop for my labels. And about my dog... So my initial idea was to incorporate our Collie mix, Ogie, into the labels of all of our non-German beers (which fall under the Oglethorpe Brewery name). I eventually gave that up because it was too awkward to work him into some of the designs like the Cocoa Puffs Stout. However, since then we got a second dog (Blitz) and he's gotten the shaft since I haven't worked him into a single label yet. Maybe I'll brew a Blitz's Bitter to make it up to him.
